Privacy policy

Smoke & Sand ("we," "us," "the network") is published by Peakline Group Holdings LLC, a Texas limited liability company. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Email addresses (newsletter signups)
If you submit your email through any signup form on this site, your address is sent over HTTPS to leads.peaklineholdings.co — a Cloudflare Worker fronting a Cloudflare D1 database controlled by Peakline Holdings. We store: your email, the page-level source label (e.g. smokeandsand-gear), a timestamp, and a hash of your IP address used only to detect spam submissions.
Server logs
Cloudflare, our edge provider, retains short-term request logs (IP address, user agent, requested path, response code) for security and abuse mitigation. We do not retain raw access logs ourselves.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-respecting and cookieless. It captures aggregate page-view counts, referrer category, country, and viewport size. It does not set tracking cookies, does not fingerprint, and does not associate visits with individual users.
Affiliate tracking
When you click an outbound /go/<slug> link, we redirect you to a merchant with affiliate tracking parameters appended. The merchant's own privacy policy applies once you arrive on their site. We do not see your purchases — we only see whether a commission was credited.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data. Ever.
- We do not run third-party ad networks.
- We do not embed Facebook, Google, or other social-network tracking pixels.
- We do not set advertising cookies.
- We do not share newsletter lists with other publishers.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your email and any associated data at any time by writing to hello@smokeandsand.co. We'll confirm within seven business days.
If you're a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA). If you're in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR. In both cases, the request route is the same: email us.
Children
This network is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and note the change in the next edition of The Dispatch newsletter.
